Our B14 tale starts with a car that is bought in the mid 80s. It's a Torpedo Commerciale which is in running but very worn condition. Restoration of the car is never started and it sits in our shed for many years.
In April 1998 a B14 chassis with the front half of the body is offered. The mechanicals have been fully rebuilt and many new parts have been fitted. But it isn't just a chassis, it's a B14 Cabriolet. The body has been cut off behind the doors.
At home the chassis is checked and after the dodgy wiring is disconnected, it starts first time. The engine and gearbox seem to work very good with no strange noises or smoke from the engine. The "car" runs very well.
